Attorney Raul Ruiz
Mr. Ruiz concentrates practices as a personal injury lawyer/attorney in Miami, Miami-Dade County, Broward, and Ft. Lauderdale.
Attorney Ruiz is actively involved in the legal community of Florida. He is currently a member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Dade County Bar Association, The American Bar Association, and the Florida Justice Association.
Mr. Ruiz received his undergraduate degree from Yale University. He received a bachelor's degree with a double major in Economics and Electrical Engineering. While at Yale, Attorney Ruiz was a Presidential Scholar, Yale Scholar, Society of American Military Engineers Scholar, Charles E. Jones Scholar, Henry T. Morgan Scholar, and a Connecticut Information Technology Scholar. Mr. Ruiz also served on the Yale College Council as a representative, was a co-founding member, editor, and technical director of LawMeme at Yale Law School, as well as the Director of Information Technology for the Yale Law and Technology Society. Mr. Ruiz also served as a member of the Yale Model Congress and the Yale Course of Study Standing Committee.
Attorney Ruiz graduated from the Florida International University College of Law with a juris doctor degree. He graduated magna cum laude. While in law school, Mr. Ruiz made the Dean's List all of his semester, was a semi-finalist in the Weschler National First Amendment Moot Court Competition at American University in Washington, D.C., was the second place overall oralist in the FIU Intramural Appellate Moot Court Competition, represented the law school at the National Moot Court Competition sponsored by the Assocation of the Bar of the City of New York, and was Vice-President of the Moot Court Board of Advocates. Mr. Ruiz's academic credentials earned him book awards in Business Associations, Evidence, Federal Income Taxation, and the Law of War and International Armed Conflict.
Mr. Ruiz is a native Spanish speaker. He is admitted to practice law in Florida and the United States Federal District Court in and for the Southern District of Florida.
